Want to Join in on an Opportunity to Serve?
Ethan Simmons of the Duarte Ward is making pillowcases for children and teens who are being treated at City of Hope as his Eagle Project. He is in need of our help with Fabric and Supply donations. If you can provide the following please contact Ethan at 626-359-4472 or ethansscouting@gmail.com to arrange for pick up of your donation or loaned equipment.
- Donate new condition fabric that has been taking up space in your house.
- Fabric should be at least 36 x 44 inches.
- Soft, colorful or patterned fabric is best for kids and teens.
- Donate thread.
- Donate money to buy more fabric.
- Donate new packaged pillowcases in fun colors or patterns.
- Lend your iron, rotary cutter, cutting mat, scissors, etc to be used on September 15th - the day of the project.
Saturday, September 15th 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Duarte Ward - 1452 Royal Oaks Drive, Duarte
FOOD PROVIDED
Volunteers are needed and it would be a wonderful opportunity to learn to sew
- Help iron, cut fabric or sew pillowcases.
- No experience necessary, we will teach you.
- Show up for a little while or the whole time.
- Counts as high school service hours.
