My name is Brooke Hendry and I am a hot mess. My house is not always
clean. My children are not perfect. I will always be working on my
patience. I frequently do not say or do the right thing. And, I
definitely do not read my scriptures enough. These are only a part of my
shortcomings. HOWEVER, It is because of my imperfections that I have
come to rely upon and love my Savior.
An investigator once asked me, "How can so and so be a member of your church? I know them. They are not very Christ-like."
I replied, "Christ's church is not for perfect people. If we were without problems we would have no use of him."
I
am so grateful for the love of my Savior. I believe Christ when he says
he can make up for my personal weaknesses. I have felt his strength
give me power when I have fallen. His mercy and grace have touched my
life in so many ways that I know he is aware of and loves me. But most
importantly, I have faith that he can and will atone for my sins. Christ
is my rock upon which my simple testimony stands. With him has my
foundation, I have hope that I may withstand this chaotic and beautiful
life of mine.
