Hello, my name is Aubrey Johnston. I am nineteen years old and I am in the ValleyView Ward. I am currently a senior at El Monte High School. Also, I am the second oldest of six kids. One last thing about me is that I enjoy Disney trips with friends and movie nights with my family. During this pandemic many things have changed around the world for everyone. It was not until recently that we could start to go back to what we knew as “ normal”. I recently had the chance to go to a young women activity night. We listened to the Young Women Face to Face sesquicentennial. It was my first time listening to the event. I enjoyed it very much and felt the spirit very much. One thing that I was able to take from it was a story of a teen girl. Her main focus of her testimony was, “don’t sit in the sadness”. It brought me great joy for this phrase. How easy would it have been for everyone to just sit at home and sit in their own “sadness”
during this pandemic. Even through the struggles many of us chose to make the best out of this situation. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us and we have the gift of choosing to follow it. When we try our best with Heavenly Father in our lives we can accomplish our goals and much more. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
