Hello, my name is Alexis Ricks and my family has been in the Monrovia Ward since July 2020. We live
just off Myrtle have fallen in love with this fun area over the last year. My husband, Nathan, and I both grew up in Utah and met in Provo while going to school at BYU. He recently graduated from the real estate development program at USC. We have two sons, Lincoln, who will be two in July, and William, who is almost four months old. Taking care of my boys is my favorite way to fill my time but I also enjoy running, spending time at the beach (or in the mountains when we’re in Utah), and traveling. In
addition to the pandemic, the last year was influential and exciting
for my little family. As I previously shared, my husband, Nathan,
started his master’s program at USC, we moved from Utah to Monrovia,
launched a small business selling a product on Shopify, and had a
beautiful baby boy. All while chasing around my other beautiful and
almost two year old baby boy. The greatest blessing that I learned
through these experiences and living through the COVID pandemic, is that
Heavenly Father is aware of me. I know he is aware of all of us and has
a plan for all of us. It is comforting for me to feel his love and I
know that he has greater power than the world. Even when the “worldly
voices” are loud, I know if we listen to him that Heavenly Father’s
voice will be louder. I know that Jesus Christ lives and am grateful to
have a testimony of his life. These are the unchanging truths that I
hold on to. Alexis Ricks - Monrovia Ward
