Young Women Class - Turn on Your Light

OBJECTIVE: What are Young Women’s responsibility to fulfill the Prophecy made by President Kimball 40 years ago and President Nelson’s invitation to Gather Scattered Israel?  Why does it matter and how can they do it?

Monica Knudsen

Monica Ferrell Knudsen graduated from BYU with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering in April of 2004.  During her undergraduate years she was a 4-year letterman of the Women's swim team and was captain for two years.  During her senior year she served as the secretary of the Cougar Athletic Council and was also the Relief Society president of her student ward.  She completed her Master's degree, also in Civil Engineering, at BYU in April of 2005.

Monica passed the PE exam in 2007 and is now a registered civil engineer in the state of California.  She is a lead project engineer at Patrell Engineering where she specializes in the structural design of amusement rockwork and various types of water play structures.

She is married to Lucas Knudsen, originally from Monrovia, and they have 4 children; Mackenzie (9), Beckham (5), Avery (3) and Zoe who passed away just over 5 years ago.  She enjoys serving as the Stake Young Women's 2nd Counselor in the Glendora Stake, reading good books, and spending time (when she can find it!) with her family.
