Emily Barth, MA, LMFT is a licensed marriage and family therapist practicing in Monrovia, California. She was born and raised in Glendale, California and has degrees in history, social studies, education, and
marriage and family therapy from Brigham Young University (BYU) and the University of Southern
California (USC). She has worked as a teacher, coach (basketball), and therapist with at-risk youth in
schools in both Utah and Los Angeles over the last twenty years. For the past 4 years she has been in
private practice providing psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
Emily currently attends the Glendale 9th mid-singles ward in the La Crescenta Stake. Her church work has
included serving as Primary President, in Young Women and Relief Society Presidencies, as YW Camp
Director, primary and youth teacher, and as an Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) facilitator.
Emily loves the great outdoors, hiking, reading, good food, and good music, and is looking forward to
being able to return to Dodgers baseball games and live concerts someday soon. Although she is
divorced and has no children of her own, she is passionate about helping individuals, marriages, and families thrive and loves being “Auntie Em” to many nieces and nephews. She strives to live a life of authenticity, compassion, creativity, and courage. And her favorite scripture is found in 2Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
